Spool of Thread sewing lounge is tucked into one of my favourite spots in Vancouver along East 15th Avenue between Kingsway and Fraser. One part retail shop, Spool of Thread carries (in my opinion) one of the best selections of modern fabrics and patterns for all your sewing projects. They also host a number of workshops from beginning sewing lessons to more advanced techniques as well as offering people an opportunity to drop in with their own projects and rent their machines by the hour. People always ask me where I find the fabrics for my fabric pouches and this is the place folks!
I first met Lili when we were members of the Vancouver Craft Mafia and they have been a highlight at Got Craft? since May 2010 hosting the DIY space at the show. We are excited to have them back at our next event and look forward to seeing what new project they will be sharing with all of our attendees!
Make a day of it by enjoying a coffee at Matchstick and carrying on down the block to Collage Collage and Precious + Few.
